Uncertain impulse response of imprecisely defined half order mechanical system

This paper investigates the numerical solution of imprecisely defined fractional order dynamic system, subjected to an unit impulse load. A mechanical spring mass system having fractional damping of order 1/2 with fuzzy initial condition is taken into consideration. Fuzziness appearing in the initial conditions is modelled through different types of convex normalised fuzzy sets viz. triangular, trapezoidal and Gaussian fuzzy numbers. Homotopy Perturbation Method (HPM) is used with fuzzy based approach to obtain the uncertain impulse response. Numerical examples related to this approach are solved by symbolic computations. Obtained results are depicted in term of plots to show the efficiency and powerfulness of the methodology. 2010 AMS Classification: 34A07, 34A08
